The Story Between Me and Balls

For some of you who have not known me well, reading the title of this post might lead you to an awkward thought. To enlighten your mind, do not be worry for I am not going to talk about my balls even though I use the word "balls" in the title of this post. Honestly, I can hardly remember when the first time I realized that I have "balls" and I also cannot remember when the first time I played ball was.
It was sometime in 1998 when I realized that I truly fell in love with ball. It was when the biggest ball involving event in the world held in France. Before
that time (as I remember) I had actually played ball but the feelings did not really struck me at that time. But I did not know why, in 1998 the feelings became stronger as I watched some of this ball games which was witnessed by billions people in every corner of the earth (as said by the media for I did not really count). I believe that not only the propaganda from the media on how great and popular the game was but also the self-demand to be considered as a real, mature man and to be recognized by the people around me had contributed much in flourishing the feelings of love to the ball. Anyway, I was in the 2nd grade of junior high school at that time. Not to be arrogant, I did not need much time to adapt with my city from-friends' ability at that time. I believe that that was because my fabulous background that I came from country side (read: village) in where hard-core (read: villagers) game were played whereas my country-from friends were already playing with their modern game tools.
Not only playing the ball (make sure you do not imagine I played my "balls"), I could say that at that time I could watch all the ball games broadcasted on TV. I could stay awake the whole night watching all the games only for the sake of having something to discuss at school the next day (moron, for I concerned more on the self acknowledgement from the ball games instead of the lessons). Though, since I was born with exceptional intelligence compared to my other friends, I could still achieve well at school.
I was dreaming of playing balls and being watched by any people, a normal kid's dream I guess. Unfortunately, I did not really have chance to join any official training which I believed would be valuable. But what for? I was only a kid with normal kid's imagination and only viewed my desire to play ball only as a hobby at that time.
Not stopping there, my addiction of playing ball still continued until I entered senior high school. In this stage I realized that there were many people with extraordinary skills and ability. Here was where I knew more things beside only just balls, that was some nasty things done; bet. Yep, here I knew that people loved to bet during the ball games. In the level I knew, we competed with other classes for a bet. Just another normal thing which I believe most of you have also known well.
I was lucky for most male students in my class loved playing ball as well. In certain occasions, we went out of town just to play ball. Such a fun and addictive activity for this could also be our reason to our parents just to get out from the house and mingle with friends. To confess, we suffered more lose than victory at that time, sad but true :'(
Entering the Uni, the still seemed to be addictive. I joined with the faculty team. Playing in a certain games and caused some boxing games as an interlude during the ball games. Well, blame on my temper, not me. Hey?? :p
Up to now, I still cannot understand how balls could be so addictive for me. Even I now rarely play it outdoor, I still play it indoor. But still, I only regard it as a hobby, not more. Because of ball I get friends. On the other hand, because of ball I also get adversaries (not many). But who cares. On top of all, ball is just a mean for exercise and entertainment to me.
