We Still Want You, But You Have Another Thing Written

This post is specially dedicated to a friend, yes, I have considered this young man as a friend, namely Mr. C. Polite, shy, funny (in some ways), reliable(I guess) and still in confusion for future, those are what I was thinking about him, during his breathing times.

Today's sunny morning was still so young when I heard my mobile rang, signaling a short message received. I usually was too lazy to open the sort of moron

message in the very early morning,especially when I had already been asleep. But this morning was so different (even though) I was actually reluctant to open it, but I did open the message. This message opened my eyes wide at all of the sudden ( I never meant to be hyperbolic in this post, but this was just the way it was). I just could not believe the message as told there that a friend, Mr. C, I mentioned at the beginning of the post, had passed away. I was both angry and curious with the message as I thought that that was a joke from my other friend (the sender). Fortunately, I clarified at first before I spilled my anger. I clarified this with some other friends, and yes, It was true. Mr. C had passed away in last night's accident.

Young man, writing this post, I still can't believe the existing fact that now you can only witness people living this life from somewhere out there. Respect for the spirit and lessons that intentionally and unintentionally you have embedded in every word, time, joke or whatever you have shared with me and us all. C, trust that God has planned some better things and prepared a more respectable, comfortable place for you, but this is just too soon. Farewell C, may God bring you all the way, hold you in His warm embrace. Your body we cannot touch nor kick anymore, but please have your spirit dwell in us all. God with you, Mate !!

The Symptoms of Diabetus Mellitus; Facts about Diabetus Mellitus

About 2 or 3 months ago, when I came back to my hometown, my mother told me that she had gone for a medical check up a few days before. She told me that the result was good beside her her blood sugar. In the other words, she was examined that she had the tendency of having Diabetus Mellitus(not an acute one but she had the tendency). She could not believe that and neither did I. Why can't we believe that??It was because we had no history of Diabetus Mellitus in our family line. But yes, that was the fact. Perhaps, this was caused by unhealthy living pattern

or anything we could not figure out yet.

That is why I am interested to know more about this disease. I am eager to find out more about the Diabetus Mellitus, the symptoms, cause, treatment, and anything related with Diabetus Mellitus. Well, in order to get more information about the symptoms of Diabetus Mellitus, I google any related articles about Diabetus Mellitus. Well, here are my findings that I want to share:

I first stumbled in this site. Here, I found that Diabetus Mellitus is is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by high blood sugar (glucose) levels, that result from defects in insulin or the because the cells do not respond to the insulin that is produced.

Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas which functions to control the blood glucose level. Insulin will lower the blood glucose level when the blood glucose elevates (for example, after eating food), insulin is released from the pancreas to normalize the glucose level. That's why when someone suffers from Diabetus Mellitus, the absence or insufficient production of insulin causes hyperglycemia.

There are 4 common types of Diabetus Mellitus which I found from Wikipedia, they are:

Type 1 diabetes: results from the body's failure to produce insulin, and presently requires the person to inject insulin. (Also referred to as insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, IDDM for short, and juvenile diabetes.)
Type 2 diabetes: results from insulin resistance, a condition in which cells fail to use insulin properly, sometimes combined with an absolute insulin deficiency. (Formerly referred to as non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, NIDDM for short, and adult-onset diabetes.)
Gestational diabetes: is when pregnant women, who have never had diabetes before, have a high blood glucose level during pregnancy. It may precede development of type 2 DM.
Congenital diabetes, which is due to genetic defects of insulin secretion, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, steroid diabetes induced by high doses of glucocorticoids, and several forms of monogenic diabetes.

There are symptoms of Diabetus Mellitus, such as frequent urination(Polyuria), the increase of thirst(Polydipsia) and the increase of hunger(Polyphagia).

There are several causes of Diabetes Mellitus, it depends on the type. Type 2 diabetes is due primarily to lifestyle factors and genetics.

Type 1 diabetes is also partly inherited and then triggered by certain infections. However, even in those who have inherited the susceptibility, type 1 diabetes mellitus seems to require an environmental trigger.

The fact that saddens me from the articles I found is that they tell that there is no cure yet for Diabetus Mellitus. Though, there need to be applied several treatments in order to maintain the blood glucose. Everyone with Diabetus Mellitus are advised to have regular exercise and do diet. Diet in here means that they must be more careful in consuming the foods. For instance, they would better not to consume foods with high glucose or even stop consuming them. This, my mother has started to do as the doctor 's advises. She exercises every morning and drinks no more sweet drinks. Reduces nearly all the sweet foods and now replaced the sugar with the corn sugar which contains less glucose. By doing so, her blood sugar level stays stable now.

Facebook, a world-wide social networking site is to be closed soon, started from March 15th, 2011 as the info I got. Actually I got this info that Facebook is going to be soon closed from an email sent by a friend. I still don't know whether it is a fact or just a gossip. How To Become a Good Leader not Only a Boss; The Difference Between Leader and Boss

Are you working in a company? Do you have boss? I am at my working place when suddenly the idea to write this appears. I remembered a friend’s utterance”Mmmm..he is a good boss, but not a good leader”. From that time on, the words seem to always stick in my mind. In my opinion, that’s true that there are differences between a leader and (only)a boss. Leader and boss seem to be the same subjects, but not the

same for me. Leader and boss are subjects which are inseparable from human life. I believe that most people(including me) want/dream to be a boss or leader. People don’t really notice that those two subjects are somehow different, do you reckon so? To become a good boss is not easy, but it is more difficult to become a good leader.
       Some people might say” That man is so bossy”. What does it mean? I think, someone say this way when he/she sees someone behave as a ruler of some community. For instance, there is a group of people and there is one person who has more power than the others. This person then may oppress the rest members of the group. Oppress in here means order the others to do what he wants, making use of the power he/she possesses. I find that the basic difference between boss and leader is as below:

Boss : spread threat and fright whenever he is present
Leader : spread peace in his presence without losing his power in front of his people.

      Well, I think that now you may start to have opinion on the people in your surrounding, your chief, manager, principal or whoever they are, who lead the institution in where you work. Is he/she (only) a good boss? Or a good leader.
       Sharing my personal opinion, I would prefer to have a good leader in whatever institution I am in. further thinking, I would also struggle to be a good leader than a boss. Moreover, what can be expected by threat or fright? Nothing gained, but fear. It’s different when we are regarded as a good leader, people will be voluntarily, without fright involved, do or help us. Is this true? I think so. In the other hand, when boss is so bossy, what he/she gains is nothing but fright (when he/she is around) and scolding behind his/her back. That’s why as I mentioned before, to become a good leader is more difficult than JUST to become a boss. Fight all the all the in your community then you’ll become a boss. Easy, isn’t it? But what do we expect of being ONLY the kind of person?
      If you are in charge in an institution now, ponder in mind what you are. Just boss or good leader. If you are behaving like (only) a boss, then you now know how your friends or work mates see you as. It is a choice whether you decide to gain your power through threat and fright or through care and attention. It is now your time to decide and act as.

Indonesian Football Team in AFF Suzuki Cup 2010

AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 or previously known as Tiger Cup, the football tournament for south-east Asia countries has at last ended, bringing Malaysia, the Malayan Tiger, as the champion of this tournament. In this opportunity, I am interested to summarize the matches Indonesia(TIMNAS)played during the tournament, convey my personal opinion of the Indonesia’s performance

in the AFF Suzuki Cup. A bit late may be, but this is my thought.

1. Versus Malaysia
Indonesia was in the same group with another three strong teams in the group qualification. There were Malaysia, Laos and Thailand. Powered by two newly imported players; Christian Gonzales and Irfan Bachdim, Indonesia started the tournament so fantastically. Opened the tournament by demolishing Malaysia 5-1 was a fabulous victory over the Malayan Tiger. Suffered from being left by 1 goal at the beginning of the match, it didn’t drop the power of the Garuda’s(how fans call Indonesian team)claw to be stabbed at the Malayan Tiger’s body. Powered by the strong visional midfielder, Firman Utina, Indonesia kept threating Malaysian goal. Opened with an own goal by a Malaysian defender, Indonesia seemed not to face difficulties to net more goals. Finally the game ended with Indonesia’s victory 5-1 over Malaysia. Though, in my personal view the team had not played very well. They seemed still not to play as a team and (honestly) sloppy and monotonously in some moments. I hope that I was wrong.

2. Versus Laos
Laos was only a worm in south-east Asia, but they had transformed into a stronger team lately. This was started since they were handled by currently managing Indonesia’ s manager, Alfred Riedl. At the beginning of the game, seen that Indonesia faced strong wall to break Laos’s defense. Moreover, Laos spread threat every time they had chance on counter attacks. Though, Garuda showed their lucky superiority by forcing Laos’s goal keeper to take the ball from his own goal. I said lucky superiority as Garuda had not shown the quality as a champion. Nevertheless, there was progress shown by Indonesia in this game. This game ended with Indonesia’s victory on bundles of goals.

3. Versus Thailand
Thailand used to send shiver to their opponents. Team that once ever defeated Indonesia in a few years ago’s Tiger Cup final. Their superiority in the south east Asia was undeniable. Powered by talented players, who could deny the tremble delivered? Ironically, Thailand’s performance during the current AFF Cup was not so impressive. Stumbled in the group qualification was not the quality they used to have. Facing Indonesia in the last game in the group qualification meant a furious meeting for both teams. From Thailand’s side, not only had to win the game, but they still had to wait the result of the other game(Malaysia Vs Laos). From Indonesia’s side, they needed to fix their performance and avenge their previous losts. Even though the result would meant nothing for Indonesia(as they had secure one place in the semi final) the game ran tightly. Most influential Thailand’s Midfielder, Datsakorn Thonglao seemed to be losing his creativity in organizing lethal attacks. Finally, the game ended with 2-0 of Indonesia’s victory. Goals were from Bambang Pamungkas’s penalty. Indonesia went to the semi final with flawless results(even in my personal opinion the performance was still not showing the quality of a true champion)

4. Semi Final, Versus Philippine
Philippine, showed a fabulous performance during the tournament, emerged from the burial. Having no history of passing the group qualification, this team had transformed into a strong team, powered by the imported players from Europe. Those players were all recruited to be Philippines from some other European country.
The games were held in two rounds, home and away. This turned into a bit silly thing when all the games, both home and away were all played in Indonesia because Philippine had no standard stadium.
The first game ran very tightly in Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta. Both teams spread threat to the opponent. Personally speaking, I still saw a monotonous attacking pattern from Indonesia. Sending direct long passes forward seemed to be boring to watch. It is true that Firman Utina was an influential player in Indonesia’s side during this tournament but always sending direct long passes to the strikers wasn’t only boring for the supporters(especially me)but also easy to be anticipated by the Philippine’s defense. Though, the monotonous passes finally brought goal through Christian Gonzales’s heading. Not only great view and vision of the game by both Firman Utina and Christian Gonzales, but misunderstanding between Philippine’s defense and goal keeper also fundamental in the emergence of the goal. Then, whom should we be thankful for the goal to?Gonzales or Philippine’s goal keeper? Leading by a goal, both teams played a better till the end of the game.
In the second round, both teams showed a better entertaining game. And again, Chistian Gonzales volunteered a goal to his new country, Indonesia. Sending powerful ball torpedo through his preferred left foot, he embarrassed Philippine’s goal keeper for the second time. Indonesia then went to the final flawlessly, winning all the games they played.

5. Final Match, Versus Malaysia
The final was also done in home-away format. The first game was held at Malaysia, Bukit Jalil Stadium (a creepy name for a sport stadium, I reckon). In this game, frankly speaking, I totally cannot say that Indonesian defense played well. This was anti-climax with how the defense played compared with the match against Philippine. Many blunders were made that giving chances to the Malaysian attackers/strikers. Thumbs had to be given to all Malaysian legion as they were not burdened at all with the result they had had in the first match, group qualification, that they suffered many goals from Indonesia. They showed a Spartan spirit. Powered by full concentration of the defenders, creative and strong midfielder and deadly strikers(this, we have to admit the fact), the Malayan tigers really performed the spirit of final match. On the contrary, Indonesia looked like that they faced indescribable boundaries. Basic mistakes, blunders, and dull attack were totally NOT Indonesia. I was wondering what was wrong.
It was a shame that the Malaysian supporters cheated the Indonesian goalkeeper, Markus Harizon. The supporters used laser, flashed right onto Markus’s eyes that somehow distracted the concentration (not only for Markus himself, but also the defenders, I think). Well, there’s no intention to blame on the laser, or making this as a scape goat behind the lost but it was true that Indonesia wasn’t playing on its form as shown in the game against Philippine.
Finally, the prayer (or cheat?) of Malaysia’s supporters came true. Malaysian striker netted a goal a few minutes after the flash of the laser. Then, goals were easily produced as Indonesia’s mentality dropped down by the first goal. Malaysia beat Indonesia by 3-0.

The second match of the final was played in Indonesia. Playing as a host, there was a fright that the Indonesia’s supporters (hooligans) would make violence due to the revenge on how Malaysia’s supporters had done on the first final. Moreover, there was also problem in ticket selling for the final. The supporters who didn’t get ticket were likely to be vandals. They protested and demanded more tickets. Nonsense, for the capacity of the stadium would not be able to accommodate all the supporters. But the fact was speaking else. The Indonesian supporters were so fair. They witnessed the true spirit of Indonesian Team. All the players were fighting all hearted. It’s so human that there were errors during that tight match. Blunders still happened; even one of them could be well-converted into a goal by Malaysian deadly striker, Safee. One goal deficit, Indonesia fought all the best to demolish the Malaysian defense. Two goals were netted. Indonesia won 2-1, but it wasn’t enough to bring the trophy home. Indonesia was still lost in aggregate by 4-2. And finally Malaysia became the champion of the tournament. New champion has been born. Congratulation to the MALAYAN TIGER for being a new champion. But GREAT SALUTE to the spirit of the GARUDA, Indonesia Team. You didn’t get the trophy but you won the true victory.

Maridjan, an old man who used to live on the slope of Mount Merapi finally demised in his fabulous loyalty and strong principle. Maridjan or more familiar being called as Mbah Maridjan(Mbah is a Javanese word for Grand father) started to gain his popularity after his “stupidity” being stubborn to keep staying on Merapi slope even though it was claimed about to erupt in 2006. at that time he stated his believe that Merapi was not going to erupt yet since according to him that was not yet the time for the mountain to erupt. And yes, it was true; the mountain did not erupt

though it vomited hot smoke.

Mbah Maridjan was obliged to be the guardian of Mount Merapi by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX, the previous king of Yogyakarta. In regards of this mandatory, Maridjan was so faithful to the responsibility given to him. At this point, some people might think of Maridjan’s stupidity for Maridjan seemed not to care with any logic reasons to leave the mountain because of the disaster Merapi would bring.

After Maridjan’s controversial decision some time ago in 2006 to keep staying on the Mount Merapi slope even many scientists had claimed that Merapi was about to erupt, Maridjan became so famous. Maridjan’s bravery and fame led to the interest of an energy drink product to make Maridjan as one of the product’s icons. Bravery, and loyalty, that was Maridjan, despite the stupidity (may be for some people think this way). Even though Maridjan might have earned lots of money from the advertisement of the product; the old man seemed not to really care about this worldly temptation, money. As the information I got, Maridjan donated half of the money for the people in his surrounding.

Well, after some years passing, mount Merapi was, again, claimed to erupt again. A few weeks ago, the mountain showed the symptoms of eruption. Maridjan, this old man was standing still, kept staying in his shelter at the Merapi slope. He was really so obedient to the mandatory obliged to him. As told before, he was obliged to be Merapi’s guardian by the king of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX, inherited the title his father had before. People and Maridjan’s family had actually had asked the old man to join the evacuation but he kept holding tight his principle and the trust given. He stated in a joke”Nek aku mudhun, mengko diguyu pitik”(Javanese sentence)”The chickens will laugh at me if I run away from this place”. Stupid, yes may be the reason and his obedience is a stupid thing for many people. For me, yes that’s stupid but I take a great salute to his loyalty and how he really valued the trust given. Can we find the sort of man in the current time??

October 26th, 2010 afternoon, Maridjan was still busy fixing the fence in front of his house when the other people busy packing stuffs to be evacuated from mount Merapi. Even though he wanted to stay, he told the other inhabitants to find a safer place to dwell from the (might) erupting of Merapi. And then, yes it was true, Merapi puffed hot smoke at the night. The smoke crawled from the top of the mountain to the slope. It stricken Maridjan’s village, Kinahrejo village. Many people were found dead in the next day. They were found burnt by the hot smoke. And the headline was that Maridjan was also found dead in his house. Maridjan was found dead while he was (believed) praying (from his position when he was found). At last, the phenomenal man demised in his bravery and fabulous loyalty. Through this post, I would sincerely express my deepest salute to this old man, Mbah Maridjan. Mbah Maridjan, your stupid loyalty and perseverance of the given trust may inspire the youngsters. May you rest in peace, old man.

Chikungunya Fever; The Symtoms and Treatments of Chikungunya Fever

Chikungunya, a weird name to our ears when we first hear about it, isn't it? Well, Chikingunya is actually a kind of disease which is caused by mosquito's bite. This is because the mosquito transfers the disease or virus from the other people who has suffered from the disease who's bitten before. Chikungunya fever needs special treatment rather than some other common fevers. To be able to treat the victims appropriately, it's better to know the symtoms of Chikungunya fever
so that later on there will no be miss-identification of the fever.

Before going further, what makes me interested writing this piece of writing about Chikungunya fever is because I suffered from Chikungunya a few days ago(lab test revealed that the virus had gone after the doctor's injection). I had just arrived home from having some exercises in a Futsal court when at all of sudden I felt cold on my body. Though, my body was actually warm at that time. Decided to sleep, the tempereature was rising when I woke up.I then managed to see the doctor to see what was really going on with my body. After being examined, the doctor said that I was suffering from Chikungunya(no lab test done, doctor just examined from the symtoms on me. Given an injection and some medicine, my temperature kept going up, especially in the evening. I could not really remember the temperature was.

The next day, I felt like I had no enough power to just even walk. I felt so tired, my hinge/joint didn't work so well. To make sure whether i was really suffering from Chikungunya fever, I managed to go to the hospital and had a medical lab test. To make it short, the result said negative. I didn't understand, but I think the Chikungunya had gone after the first injection and treatment from the first doctor.

To get more knowledge about Chikungunya fever, I tried to find and read more by surfing in the internet. Chikungunya is a mosquito-borne viral disease first described during an outbreak in southern Tanzania in 1952. It is an alphavirus of the family Togaviridae. The name ‘chikungunya’ derives from a root verb in the Kimakonde language, meaning "to become contorted" and describes the stooped appearance of sufferers with joint pain.

The Symtoms of Chikungunya Fever

Chikungunya is characterized by an abrupt onset of fever frequently accompanied by joint pain. Other common signs and symptoms include muscle pain, headache, nausea, fatigue and rash. The joint pain is often very debilitating, but usually ends within a few days or weeks. Most patients recover fully, but in some cases joint pain may persist for several months, or even years. Occasional cases of eye, neurological and heart complications have been reported, as well as gastrointestinal complaints. Serious complications are not common, but in older people, the disease can contribute to the cause of death. Often symptoms in infected individuals are mild and the infection may go unrecognized, or be misdiagnosed in areas where dengue occurs.

Transmission

The virus is transmitted from human to human by the bites of infected female mosquitoes. Most commonly, the mosquitoes involved are Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus, two species which can also transmit other mosquito-borne viruses, including dengue. These mosquitoes can be found biting throughout daylight hours, although there may be peaks of activity in the early morning and late afternoon. Both species are found biting outdoors, but Ae. aegypti will also readily feed indoors.

After the bite of an infected mosquito, onset of illness occurs usually between four and eight days but can range from two to 12 days.

Diagnosis

Several methods can be used for diagnosis. Serological tests, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), may confirm the presence of IgM and IgG anti-chikungunya antibodies. IgM antibody levels are highest three to five weeks after the onset of illness and persist for about two months. The virus may be isolated from the blood during the first few days of infection. Various reverse transcriptase–polymerase chain reaction (RT–PCR) methods are available but are of variable sensitivity. Some are suited to clinical diagnosis. RT–PCR products from clinical samples may also be used for genotyping of the virus, allowing comparisons with virus samples from various geographical sources.

Treatment

There are no specific drugs to cure the disease. Treatment is directed primarily at relieving the symptoms, including the joint pain. There is no commercial chikungunya vaccine.

Prevention and control

The proximity of mosquito vector breeding sites to human habitation is a significant risk factor for chikungunya as well as for other diseases that these species transmit. Prevention and control relies heavily on reducing the number of natural and artificial water-filled container habitats that support breeding of the mosquitoes. This requires mobilization of affected communities. During outbreaks, insecticides may be sprayed to kill flying mosquitoes, applied to surfaces in and around containers where the mosquitoes land, and used to treat water in containers to kill the immature larvae.

For protection during outbreaks of chikungunya, clothing which minimizes skin exposure to the day-biting vectors is advised. Repellents can be applied to exposed skin or to clothing in strict accordance with product label instructions. Repellents should contain DEET (N, N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide), IR3535 (3-[N-acetyl-N-butyl]-aminopropionic acid ethyl ester) or icaridin (1-piperidinecarboxylic acid, 2-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-methylpropylester). For those who sleep during the daytime, particularly young children, or sick or older people, insecticide treated mosquito nets afford good protection. Mosquito coils or other insecticide vaporizers may also reduce indoor biting.

Hello everyone, a few days ago I posted a short article about hemorrhagic dengue fever. Well, having posted that, my interest to seek more info about it raised. Therefore, I surfed the internet to find some more(may be)useful information about the

characteristics, treatment and immunization of dengue fever. To sum up, I found below related information.

Dengue viruses are actually transmitted to humans through the bites of infective female Aedes mosquitoes. Mosquitoes generally acquire the virus while feeding on the blood of an infected person. After virus incubation for eight to 10 days, an infected mosquito is capable, during probing and blood feeding, of transmitting the virus for the rest of its life. Infected female mosquitoes may also transmit the virus to their offspring by transovarial (via the eggs) transmission, but the role of this in sustaining transmission of the virus to humans has not yet been defined.

Infected humans are the main carriers and multipliers of the virus, serving as a source of the virus for uninfected mosquitoes. The virus circulates in the blood of infected humans for two to seven days, at approximately the same time that they have a fever; Aedes mosquitoes may acquire the virus when they feed on an individual during this period. Some studies have shown that monkeys in some parts of the world play a similar role in transmission.

The Characteristics/Symptoms of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever

Dengue fever is a severe, flu-like illness that affects infants, young children and adults, but seldom causes death.

The clinical features of dengue fever vary according to the age of the patient. Infants and young children may have a fever with rash. Older children and adults may have either a mild fever or the classical incapacitating disease with abrupt onset and high fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pains, and rash.

Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a potentially deadly complication that is characterized by high fever, often with enlargement of the liver, and in severe cases circulatory failure. The illness often begins with a sudden rise in temperature accompanied by facial flush and other flu-like symptoms. The fever usually continues for two to seven days and can be as high as 41°C, possibly with convulsions and other complications.

In moderate DHF cases, all signs and symptoms abate after the fever subsides. In severe cases, the patient's condition may suddenly deteriorate after a few days of fever; the temperature drops, followed by signs of circulatory failure, and the patient may rapidly go into a critical state of shock and die within 12 to 24 hours, or quickly recover following appropriate medical treatment.

The Treatment for Hemorrhagic Dengue Fever

So sad to say that there is unfortunetely no specific treatment for dengue fever.

For DHF, medical care by physicians and nurses experienced with the effects and progression of the complicating hemorrhagic fever can frequently save lives - decreasing mortality rates from more than 20% to less than 1%. Maintenance of the patient's circulating fluid volume is the central feature of DHF care.

Immunization of Hemorrhagic Dengue Fever

There is no vaccine to protect against dengue. Although progress is underway, developing a vaccine against the disease - in either its mild or severe form - is challenging.

With four closely related viruses that can cause the disease, the vaccine must immunize against all four types to be effective.

There is limited understanding of how the disease typically behaves and how the virus interacts with the immune system.

There is a lack of laboratory animal models available to test immune responses to potential vaccines.

Despite these challenges, two vaccine candidates have advanced to evaluation in human subjects in countries with endemic disease, and several potential vaccines are in earlier stages of development. WHO provides technical advice and guidance to countries and private partners to support vaccine research and evaluation.

Last night, I was playing busy in front of my blitzing laptop. So many ideas in my mind that I was confused from where to start. Finally, after (may be)thousands of aimless clicks on my mouse, I managed to try importing my blog posts in BLOGGER to WORDPRESS. Limited knowledge on blogging was a killing obstacle for me. Though, based of brief and concise last week's tutorial from UCILBLOG.COM , I did the importing. But how did this work? How to import BLOGGER to WORDPRESS?? Below were what I did that(may be) could

be useful for you, about how to import BLOGGER to WORDPRESS, that I want to share with you all, guys.

First, we have register into WORDPRESS. Go to WORDPRESS.COM. In this phase, we are required to enter an email address. Not long after, an activation must be done by following the link in the email sent to our inbox. It's totally easy. Anyway, when registering,we are offered whether to just create an account or create a blog at once as well.

Second, having made a blog in WORDPRESS(title, etc) go to Tools menu from the Dashboard of WORDPRESS, see below:

In that menu, click Import. In this step, there will be options provided from what blog provider we'd like to import the blog, choose Blogger(Click). See below screenshot:

At this point, WORPRESS will ask the authorization of our BLOGGER account. We have to enter our email address which we use as our BLOGGER ID along with the password, just follow it, do so.

Third, after finishing the mentioned procedures, another menu appears like below screenshot:

After that, click the Import button(choose which blog you want to import to your new WORDPRESS blog) and the process is complete. The posts are imported.Last ouch is just editing the appearance in our new WORDPRESS blog.

    There is no specific treatment for dengue, but appropriate medical care frequently saves the lives of patients with the more serious dengue hemorrhagic fever. The only way to prevent dengue virus transmission is to combat the disease-carrying mosquitoes.
    Dengue is a mosquito-borne infection that in recent decades has become a major international public health concern. Dengue is found in tropical and sub-tropical regions around the world, predominantly in urban and semi-urban areas.
    Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF), a potentially lethal complication, was first recognized in the 1950s during dengue epidemics in the Philippines and Thailand. Today DHF affects most Asian countries and has become a leading cause of hospitalization and death among children in the region.
   There are four distinct, but closely related, viruses that cause dengue. I was opening my blog's dashboard when the idea of writing this article emerged. At first,I did not realize there there was a new feature in blogger,that was "STATS".

With this"STATS" feature, you can measure how many travelers have stumbled to your blog. Moreover, how, from which site and from which country the travelers arrive to your blog is also being showed. Handy, yes, this new facility is really handy. Simply click,click and click then everything is served to you. You can see how many people have read your blog. Furthermore, you can also check what keywords are being typed in the search engine so that those people arrive at your blog. So useful, isn't it??

Anyway, this feature is only from BLOGGER, those who are not using BLOGGER, I have to say sorry for this piece of writing will not be useful to measure your blog's traffic.

Started sometime a few years ago in Bali, terrorists attacked Indonesia. Led by Amrozi, Imam Samudera and some other that I can hardly remmember, they bombed two places in Bali. Victims fell. Tourists,local inhabitants, moms, dads, youngsters. Ill-mannered, that was what came into my virgin mind. The tourists were having fun in those twonight clubs when all of sudden the bomb exploded. Not just in Bali, series of incidents followed. To mention, there were also tragic mass killing in Jakarta. J.W Marriot a well known hotel was also become a bombing spot for the terrorist.

Terrorism in Indonesia has sowed threat to the foreigners who wanted to come to Indonesia. Further case arose was at the Australian embassy. The incidents in the two places brought so many victims. Tears and orphan for the sorrow of losing family. Some of them are even the one to whom their family rely on. Can you imagine how terrorism in Indonesia has caused cry on the being left lifes?? From what I heard and read(correct me for mistakes for I know my knowledge is still shallow on this) the arrested terrorists claimed that they were just doing what their believe had told. Stupid, yes, that's what arrived in my brain hearing the reason why. To be rationally thinking, has God ever told not to love else?? I don't reckon so. Moreover, terrorism in Indonesia is just a small branch from a greater network in Afganistan(this one I don't really know nor sure). Al-Qaeda, the one which was told to be behind the Wall Trade Center incident was said to be where all the terrorists in Indonesia being trained. Wow !!

As I ever heard and watched on TV, there was, like, a organizational structure in the terrorists. Leader to the pawn. Some repented ex-Al-Qaeda who were interviewed told that that issue was true. I was shocked when I heard about that, that terrorism in Indonesia was so well-organized. Militancy, was what they had, Militancy that was based on wrong understanding on religion vieew. i was just can't understand with the way they thought(they:terrorists). Well,may be that was just because they were indoctrinated with that view. yes, religion always becomes a sensitive issue to be discussed and fought. Regardless what religion was behind it, or being used as a reason, I never thought that the meant religion told so. Just a matter of the terrorists in Indonesia and all over the world who misinterpreted the basic principle, am I right?

Amrozi cs, who were responsible for the bombing at Legian, Bali was at last sentenced death for their guilt. Ironically, there were still some people who sympathized and disagreed with the punishment.

In order to fight terrorism in Indonesia, Indonesian government made a special team, called as DENSUS 88. The team had succeeded arrested some terrorists. They even succeeded to one told to be the highest leader in Indonesia. He was Noordin M. Top. Noordin M. Top was shot in the massisve attack in the terrorists dwell in Solo. There was combat between the police, Densus 88 and the terrorists. The ambush arrived at this point after series of investigation in some other areas.

After the demise of Noordin M. Top, this doesn't mean that terrorist attack has finished. Heard from the news a few days ago that the terrorists are now preparing for some other attacks. To get the funding, they are now robbing. And again, using nonsense reason that they are robbing from sinners. Therefore, they don't feel guilty on this. The terrorists in Indonesia claim others to be sinners, if so,then what are they??? Killing others, robbing, aren't the terrorists in Indonesia behave even worst than who they claim as sinners?? Salute to the one who can plant the kind of principle in the terrorist in Indonesia's mind. What I fear is that if that person can spread this wrong view to more people. What will the world be if so.

Just to conclude, what I write here has no intention to discriminate one religion, but merely spilling my thought. If you out there have the same idea, please notice me. Terrorism will just dim the peace among us.

A Tale from West Java, The Tale of Sangkuriang

Long time ago in West Java, lived a beautiful girl named Dayang Sumbi. She was also smart and clever. Her beauty and intelligence made a prince from the heavenly kingdom of Kahyangan desire her as his wife. The prince asked permission from his father to marry Dayang Sumbi. People from Kahyangan could never live side by side with humans, but his father approved on one condition, when they had a child, the prince would transform into a dog. The prince accepted the condition.

They get married and lived happily in the woods until Dayang Sumbi gave birth to a baby boy. The prince then changed into a dog named Tumang. Their son is named Sangkuriang. He was very smart and handsome like his father. Everyday, he hunted animals and looked for fruits to eat. One day, when he was hunting, Sangkuriang accidentally killed Tumang. His arrow missed the deer he was targeting and hit Tumang instead. He went home and tells her mother about the dog. “What?” Dayang Sumbi was appalled. Driven by sadness and anger, she grabbed a weaving tool and hit Sangkuriang’s head with it. Dayang Sumbi
was so sad; she didn’t pay any attention to Sangkuriang and started to cry.

Sangkuriang feel sad and also confused. How can his mother love a dog more than him? Sangkuriang then decided to go away from their home and went on a journey. In the morning, Dayang Sumbi finally stopped crying. She started to feel better, so she went to find Sangkuriang. But her son was no where to be found. She looked everywhere but still couldn’t find him. Finally, she went home with nothing. She was exhausted. She fell asleep, and in her dream, she meets her husband. “Dayang Sumbi, don’t be sad. Go look for my body in the woods and get the heart. Soak it with water, and use the water to bathe, and you will look young forever,” said the prince in her dream. After bathing with the water used to soak the dog’s heart, Dayang Sumbi looked more beautiful and even younger.

And time passed by. Sangkuriang on his journey stopped at a village and met and fell in love with a beautiful girl.He didn't realize that the village was his homeland and the beautiful girl was his own mother, Dayang Sumbi. Their love grew naturally and he asked the girl to marry him. One day, Sangkuriang was going on a hunt. He asked Dayang Sumbi to fix the turban on his head. Dayang Sumbi was startled when she saw a scar on his head at the same place where she, years ago, hit Sangkuriang on the head.

After the young man left, Dayang Sumbi prayed for guidance. After praying, she became convinced that the young man was indeed her missing son. She realized that she had to do something to prevent Sangkuriang from marrying her. But she did not wish to disappoint him by cancelling the wedding. So, although she agreed to marry Sangkuriang, she would do so only on the condition that he provides her with a lake and built a beautiful boat, all in one night.

Sangkuriang accepted this condition without a doubt. He had spent his youth studying magical arts. After the sun went down, Sangkuriang went to the hill. Then he called a group of genie to build a dam around Citarum River. Then, he commands the genies to cut down trees and build a boat. A few moments before dawn, Sangkuriang and his genie servants almost finished the boat.

Dayang Sumbi, who had been spying on him, realised that Sangkuriang would fulfill the condition she had set. Dayang Sumbi immediately woke all the women in the village and asked them to wave a long red scarf. All the women in the village were waving red scarf, making it look as if dawn was breaking. Deceived by false dawn, the cock crowed and farmers rose for the new day.

Sangkuriang’s genie servants immediately dropped their work and ran for cover from the sun, which they feared. Sangkuriang grew furious. With all his anger, he kicked the unfinished boat. Misal bila hanya ingin memegang payudara, si pria iseng akan dikenakan tarif Rp 15 ribu, paha Rp 10 ribu, berciuman Rp 25 ribu, dan memegang alat vital Rp 50 ribu.

your animally (a word which I make by myself) side. How we can restrain our desire (including pornography exposure) is one thing which differentiates us and animal, I reckon.
          Concerning this, there is very sensational news on pornography in my home country, Indonesia, now. Luna Maya, a currently very famous artist, movie star, and presenter involves in a pornography case. A few days ago she was found on here porn video with Ariel, a famous band, Peterpan front-liner. Not only a sensual scene, but the short film is just totally a porn movie. The video is widely and quickly spreading. Nearly all people ever watched the video.           Anyway, in my personal opinion, having seen the both videos I found those people in the videos are just so similar with them, regardless they are really those artists or not. It’s a shame when what they have built from zero ruins because of a few minutes pleasure, isn’t it? What they have achieved before the incident was great enough. But after that, they seem to be public enemy. Special for Ariel,the front-liner of a famous band Peterpan, people even change his famous name into Ariel Peterporn instead of Ariel Peterpan.
          I cannot judge and I don’t want to judge whether these videos are really stared by those artists. May be they took the video for such a personal file. But what makes it become a controversy is that consumers don’t really know who they are and whether they are officially husband and wife. Moreover, the figures are look so alike with those famous artists. That’s why this seems to be so booming and like a national problem.
          Since this kind of thing is law-breaking in Indonesia, those three famous artists are now investigated by the police. The police is now taking care of the case and trying to investigate the truth of the videos, whether those artist are really the stars or not. Therefore, we can only wait and see the ending whether this case will be finally revealed or vanish as the time goes by (like in most). Well, let’s wait and if you, guys have enough time or care enough with this sort of junk, so, follow the case!!

          In one of my previous posts, I discussed about a mobile internet provider SMART EVDO,a mobile modem with a fabulous performance. SMART Telecoms, a mobile internet provider in my country, Indonesia, seems to be always exploring and creating a more advanced internet broadband service.

      For their newly launched product, I am honestly a bit dissapointed with SMART. Why?? because I have bought the modem. I would've chosen this mobile/hand phone modem if only I could choose at that time. Therefore, I'd like to sell my modem in order to be able to buy this mobile phone/hand phone modem. Beside I can use it anywhere i want, I can also insert my GSM card into it so that bringing two mobile phones/hand phones won't bother me anymore. Anyone interested to buy my modem??

Sad but true.

Soon after the sadness erased, BPs will no longer care of the object. They don't give a damn if they have put an empty hope for those victims.

Demonstration and Riot at Tanjung Priok, Jakarta

Faith, most people do hold their faith tightly. View it as sometime so much precious, incomparable and becomes the first priority for them. In some cases it can lead into fanatics, which makes some people have a narrow view of some occurring issue. Faith, hearing this words and reflecting on the current facts, I sometime question why could faith lead to some unnecessary riots and fights between those actually brothers and sisters (I reckon they are).

The most recent booming riot happened in my beloved country, Indonesia, was the one occurred in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta. Two oppositional sides fought each other for what’s so called as pride and job. Pride? Yes, I think so. On one side, the local inhabitants of Tanjung Priok, they fought

to defend their territory in where they had settled for some years. Indeed, what made them so strongly defended the area was a sacred cemetery that was planned by the government to be a part of the container terminal. Having heard the plan, the local inhabitants could not accept it as they regard the cemetery as a sacred legacy in where their ancestors were buried.

Job?? Yes, job. In the oppositional side of the local inhabitants, there were some officers who were stationed to release and clear the area from the local people’s acquisition. They were ordered to get those people away and leave the area. Well, who can be mistaken after all??

Two different objectives and sides met in an unfriendly atmosphere. They had different motives which somehow forced them involve in a mass fight. Inevitable, riot occurred for different purposes. Defending faith which has become part of the pride and on the other hand, doing their job as order delivered.

Cemetery, it is true that it is regarded sacred in Indonesia. But what can be done when a wider space is needed for what is considered as better industry, which forces to grasp some more land, but is it wise to swallow others’ food? Moreover, this area is considered as sacred and meaningful for them. Is it wise? On one side, the government was trying to seize a better industry future by expanding it, but on the other side the local people’s pride seemed to be stepped on.

At this point I am also confused to say which side is wrong. But looking at what the government should do for the citizens, I can say this thing should not happen. I was hoping that a better thought should’ve been in every of those involved’s mind. The government, in regard to create a better life for the citizens, this doesn’t always mean to create a wider industrial area but maintain the people’s trust and even creating a bigger trust. Perhaps, it was TOTALLY not what the government expected to happen, I am sure. Unfortunately, a bad coordination and may be some personal motives created misunderstanding which led to the riot.

This piece of writing is only written after I heard the news about this riot. Heard only some pieces of the news but brought grief into me for I cannot believe my country seemed to be struck by continuous problems. Disaster, corruption, a bad organization of the governmental institution, and some other problems. This is just a thought of how I am actually concern, but clueless of what to do. I do hope that after reading it, you guys can have a brighter view about Indonesia and may be can help hand in hand to reach a betterment.

The Demise of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono(SBY) Regime

      I am in my bedroom, surfing in the internet now when I hear the news over the TV about the demonstration to dethrone Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono from his palacy( I make up this word on my own for I hardly find the correct one, hehehehehehe...)chair of Indonesia's number one, the president.
     I remember the same thing happening in around 1997 or 1998, when I was still in the Junior High School, when nearly the same thing occured. This was the effort of Indonesian who were sick of Soeharto's dictatorship. Remembering this, I question myself whether the same thing will also happen onto Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
     The demonstration, concerning this, I sometimes(most of the times actually) question whether those demonstrators know what they are actually doing. I'm

just afraid if, may be, they're just joining something they don't actually really know what that is. Perhaps, they're just following what others do for some money(because there are people who are doing this because they are paid). Is this really an exertion to reach a betterment? or what?? For those scholars, do they also know what they are fighting for? Or is this just a mean for them to be considerd as a brave young figure, speak infront of many people as if they are the power holder. Or may be they just want their name to be written I in the media or part Indonesia's history? I am a bit affraid if they are only being used or rode by some politiciants who want to grasp the power in order to be the next number one in Indonesia.

I, myself, don't really understand about politics, what I know about it is that they stab each other for power(I hope that it is a wrong view).Power, seems to be a carcass fought by a flock of condors.

As a person who knows not much about politics, I just can't understand with the way the demonstrators think. This is what I mean, as an analogy, even to manage your own family, it's not a simple think to do, isn't it? Yes, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his colleague, Indonesia's number two, vice president Boediono did give promise of 100 days governmental management after their oath. But can't we, at least me, just try to understand how sophisticated it is to get this archipelago, Indonesia to be a well organized and wealth country. To be honest, I'm not writing this because I'm behind Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's side. But merely share you, guys, that what he has done is quite fabulous despite what's happening(I don't really know whether he is really bad during his throne times, do you??)

Most people's thought also concerns me. They are expecting things to be instantly achieved. Guys, it's not noodle that you can eat three minutes after opening the pack. It is about managing around 13.000 islands named as one Indonesia. When one can't give them instant result they demand him to be dethroned, are you trying to cook an instant noodle named Indonesia? you are dreaming too much, Mates.

For me, I just come up with an opinion that indeed we should all work together hand in hand to bring this rich country into a better place. Good deeds is always good, isn't it? When we are all able to manage our own selves well, I believe betterment will be easier to achieve. It doen't mean that I'm a supporter of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for I'm writing this article, again I state. Simply, I just want to open your mind, readers(if there are any), that we must not make the situation worse by doing such violence or riots to roll the ruling power which we don't really know what this is for.

What's still in my mind is, will Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his regime demise as what happened to Soeharto? Well, you all decide about it.

W32/Sality.AA Virus

About three weeks ago, I got some troubles with my laptop. This was after I plugged a USB FlashDisc into it. I clicked a random file in the USB Disc, stupid me, I didn't scan it before. As a result, there were 2 kinds of virus infected my laptop, the first one should still be considered as worm I guess. But the second one was a real threat to my laptop. It was SALITY !!!!

Indeed, this was also caused by my stupidity for neglecting the importance of AntiVirus. Hence, to avoid the same thing happens to you, guys, I suggest to use these AntiViruses :

In addtion, sality W32 is an appending file infector virus that uses an entry point obscuring technique to hide its presence on the system. What's sophisticated is that Sality has the ability to download and install additional malware on the system. Moreover, can also terminate the running AntiVirus program.

When Sality has infected your computer or laptop, [System]\drivers\[random].sys is dropped into the system and will be detected as Virus.Win32.Sality.ab.

Soon it will copy itself to removable drives and shared folders as one of the following :

• [randomname].pif
• [randomname].cmdt

After that Autorun.inf will be formed so that he malware will be executed when it is connected to a computer.

It also modifies %windir%\SYSTEM.INI by adding the following section :

Once on the system, the virus searches the hard disk (starting with C:\) and infects any files with the following extensions:

• .scr
It also infects files with .EXE extensions that are referenced as data in the following registry keys:

The virus appends itself by creating a new 73728 bytes sized section named "[random characters]data". The section contains Sality.AA's obfuscated code.

When run, Sality.AA creates a mutex to ensure only one instance is running. It then modifies a large range of registry entries. The virus attempts to disable processes and services containing strings related to major antivirus software.

Free Internet Service Using Mobile Phone as the Modem

Who doesn’t like something free?? I like it, hehehehe… Tell me if there are any of you. As we all know, Internet is now becoming such an essential part in our life. Entertainment, news, job vacancies, networking, learning materials and many more can be found through the internet. For some people, they even earn from the internet. Interesting, ha?

Currently, there are many internet broadband and or providers arise. This answers the people’s need of the service which can even be accessed from home. Who doesn’t want to read newspaper on his/her own bed without need to buy it from the news stand? Those providers provide service for people to render ease in getting whatever they want. Actually,
I am also interested to own the sort of coziness. But, I still don’t feel that I will need it in my everyday that I’m still pondering of whether to buy and use it daily.

A few weeks ago, a friend (his famous name is Ucil) informed me about a free

internet service. It

used one cell phone’s provider service (sorry, I should not which it is). He told me that with some settings and some additional programs installed, internet could be accessed by connecting your mobile phone, as the modem, to your computer. The mobile phone could be both connected to your computer through cable or Bluetooth. Without thinking twice, I managed to get more information from him concerning this. To better get the information on how this free service worked he invited to come to his house. Well, I just dropped my ass at his house then. He explained to me this and that (I did not really get what that was, since I’m just amateur and blind in that sort of technology, hehehehe…). Lucky me as he is a TOTALLY KIND person. He set my notebook up in order to get it is able to connect to the internet using that free service. I reckoned he knew that I did not really understand his explanation. What an understanding friend he is, thanks Dude!!

Well, I spent my Saturday night then, heheehhe.. But it worth (sorry, it’s grammatically wrong, I know) somehow, doesn’t it? It took quite sometime to get all the things done and ready to use. We nearly spent the whole night in his messy (sorry to mention it Mate, :P) bedroom(don’t worry readers, we did none but chatting and setting up the notebook, we are normal guy, heheheheh). After finishing the set-up, he taught me how to connect to the internet under that free service. Hmmm..this took for just in a minute for I am a fast learner, hahahahha..(not really, but actually because it was a totally easy thing as everything had been set up by Ucil).

It is because his fabulous and kind assistance that I am now able to connect to the internet and update my blog every time I want. He is just awesome, honestly. (Jumping from Ucil to the internet connection, again) Actually, the connection is not really good, but what can be hoped more from a free internet connection? Not bad though, at least I can visit the web I want to see and keep me updated with some information arising in the current time. Moreover, I can freely surf the world after my busy hours in my work place in my own bed room.

Early this morning, I woke up. Hhhhhh.... I tried so hard to close my eyes again for I had to work later at 8 A.M. Arghh... but my eyes kept widely open. I decided to turn my laptop on, yes, with the hope of getting back my tiredness when I watched the blooming monitor. But unfortunately not, I kept awake, could hardly sleep again. So I managed to open my email. No new important mail, just some new inside my inbox from some random senders.

Playing the mouse(not the real mouse, you know what I mean), with the
mosquitoes hovering around my head and biting my feet, I just remembered to check my GOOGLE ADSENSE application which I applied a few days ago for my other blog. Actually, I did not apply it on my own for I was blind on it, but a friend helped me on this. He earns from it. Therefore, I was also interested to apply. Well yeah, who is not
interested to earn by only(sorry, with no intention to despise for I know it's not that simple to really write)staying at home, turning on your PC, login to the internet and updating the article. Yes, I was interested on it. So I did apply it, but no worries, that's not my only reason for making this blog and some other blogs. I merely want to spill whatever in my mind through these words.Oooppsss,,,what did I write, it's just too far from the main topic(I must have got a bad grade in my writing course, but not).

Back to the topic. Then, I opened my account and the internet connection bravely dramatized the situation by keeping the loading just too long(dramatization or just a terrible connection?). It nearly broke my excitement in opening the result, hahhhhh... But patience brings hope as always, hey? hhahahahaha... Ya..at last the page was opened. Guess what did GOOGLE say???

I was not accepted in the program, darn !!! This really ruined my heart into pieces, huhuuuhuuu(translate as if I was mourning in a deep grief). My hope to earn from the internet was broken, argghhhhhh....!!!!(I'm exaggerating, aren't I?)GOOGLE explained this and that, why my blog was not accepted, I should display the screenshot(is it the correct word? here, but unfortunately, I could not copy the screen through the print screen. Basically, GOOGLE said that my blog had not complied the requirements(what are they GOOG???come on....)Huffff....ya..perhaps I should try next time and may be I need to make a better blog with a better look, content, language or whatever that is. No worries GOOG, your trial means none to me but to make the better one. Though, I am still grateful to you for providing the sort of service, you are just AWESOME !!!!!!(I do hope that you read it GOOG, perhaps you'll feel flattered and accept my application later on, hehehehehe....)

At all of the sudden, an odd thought came to my mind. my desire to study just blasted in my mind this morning. Never before, even during my time when I had to study when I was still in Uni. actually, below post is just being copied from my other blog, HowTo?? I reckon that it worths reading. Hence please see, and let me know how this means to you, Pals.

For a lot of people, English grammar is difficult, even for those whose first language is English. Grammar has a lot of complex rules that are difficult to keep track of, such that some eventually just don’t
mind grammar rules and speak the language without any regard for them.
Learning a language is a continuous process, and this includes the English language! The English language is one that has gone through hundreds of years of growth, and still keeps on growing. With so many words,
idioms and rules, there really is still room for learning and improving your knowledge of it. For tips on how to improve your English, read on below.
* Read English newspapers, books, and magazines. Reading is an active process that requires your brain to
work. When learning a language, much is achieved by speaking, listening and writing. But reading is also a great help. When you read, you encounter new words and will be able to use them.
* Keep a news diary. After reading the daily papers, write down your thoughts about the days’ headlines. Choose one or two that stood out among all those that you read, and write down your reactions to it. Read what you wrote afterwards, and check if you made any grammatical errors or would like to improve how you phrased your sentences.
* Take note of the lyrics to a song. Listening to songs can help you improve your English, but more than this, taking the time to read the lyrics of the song will help your brain work more towards mastering the English language.
* Read the book version of a movie that you have already seen. If you are not a serious book reader, reading a story that you are already familiar with will help you move along page by page. Reading the book version means you will find it easier to understand and guess vocabulary, and you can remember it easily since the story is already familiar to you.
* Teach English to children or friends. The best way to improve something is by teaching it to others. This also holds true for the English language. When you share and teach English to others, you are able to practice by explaining, fixing your knowledge in your brain, and getting more experience. At the same time, you become more aware of your weak areas and have to work hard at improving them.
* Use English every day. Whatever you are doing, from washing the dishes or taking out the trash to going to work or to the gym, use English. Take out those new words that you learned and use them. Bring out those new idioms you came across and use them. If this new stuff stays inside your head and in your notebooks, it won’t come to life. Learn how to use them in your daily life.
English is both easy and difficult. There are rules and words and idioms that are complicated. But as you try to improve your English day by day, you will surely see improvements that are going to “make your day.”

Huhh...finally, I can open this article that I saved in Microsoft word before. Hmmm...now it can complete the previous article about Driver for Compaq Presario CQ40-532TU. Let's get to the point in hereunder paragraph then !!

Notebook, it seems to be a trend now. Its popularity has become higher in the replacement of PC. Yes, I believe that most people, including you guys, would now prefer to buy a notebook than PC. Reasonable indeed, looking its usage that, in my opinion, fulfills the current age demand. portability, the strength of notebook compare to a Personal Computer (PC).

I had been dreaming to buy notebook/laptop since a few years ago. When I
was in Jakarta, when I worked there, I wanted to buy it but I loved my money much more that I didn’t want to spend it in a notebook/laptop even though actually I want it, weird, ha?

Anyway, considering its portability and function, finally I bought a notebook/laptop a couple months ago. Actually, I am not the sort of a person whose job needs to be in touch with notebook/laptop all the time since my work can only be done at my office. I return to my hometown every weekend whereas in Semarang during the weekday. Therefore I chose notebook/laptop rather than PC so that I can bring it everywhere I

want. After quite sometime considering which brand I should buy, finally I decided to buy COMPAQ CQ40- 532TU.

This decision was taken due to some considerations. First, I checked the specification which fulfilled my need. The specification of COMPAQ CQ40-532TU was as follow:

• Processor : Intel Pentium Dual Core, T4300 Hz(2.1 GHz)

• RAM : 1GBDDR2

• HD : 160GB

• LCD : 14’

The specification is so standard, I decided to choose this notebook due to my need off course (and also the money I had, hehehehehe…). I didn’t think that I needed the advanced notebook yet, since what I require from it will only those some basic ability, typing, data saving, playing DVD, writing some English learning materials, playing music and those sort of basic functions.

Compared with some years ago, the notebook’s price is much cheaper now. I spent IDR 4,800,000 to bring this COMPAQ CQ40-532TU home a couple months ago. I still could not use the laptop for two days after I bought it because there was no Operating System installed. At this point, I had to hunt high and low (what an exaggerating phrase, ha?) to get the Operating System. It was because my COMPAQ CQ 40-532TU required WINDOWS VISTA. It would not work optimally when another Operating System installed in it because it was specially designed for WINDOWS VISTA. I just knew it after I checked it directly on COMPAQ’s web site, click here to check it. In this point, this can be considered as both the strength of CQ40-532TU or weakness.

• Strength, because WINDOWS VISTA is more advanced than the previous WINDOWS, XP. As we all know, WINDOWS VISTA requires more advanced specification than WINDOWS XP. Therefore, from this point we can conclude that CQ40-532TU has a stronger ability compared with those which are designed for WINDOWS XP (According to my own conclusion).

• Weakness, for me who is living in Indonesia, where piracy is widely and freely spread, it is a bit more difficult to get WINDOWS VISTA master program. Unlike WINDOWS XP, it is more rarely used in Indonesia. This is because (people say) WINDOWS VISTA is “heavier” than WINDOWS XP.

Well, here I just want to share about it. Things to be considered when you want to buy something are just how this will be essential for you. Also, no need to be after for the most advanced one, but what you will use this for. In addition, when you like it, just buy it.

Driver for Compaq Presario CQ40-532TU

Hey !! Hello!! How are you all doing? I do hope that you are all just fine.Actually I want to post something else before this article. unfortunately, the writing which I want to post, which should be posted before this article cannot be opened. Hufff...well, okay. I will simply post it and later on I will post that writing.

about two months ago I bought a notebook, CQ40-532TU. It took me quite some time to get the notebook/laptop fully working because even to get the master program, which had to be WINDOWS VISTA, I had to hunt for days until I found a friend who had the CD master program of that WINDOWS VISTA (the pirated one, as you know, too expensive to afford the original one, hehehehe..). I borrowed the CD and installed it after home from work. Unfortunately, the program needed activation,
which could only be used for 30 days after installation. Fiuhh..anyway, that’s oke...at least I got my new notebook/laptop work first. I borrowed 2 CDs. The first one ( I didn’t need to input any serial number) didn’t

work, damn !!!Well, I used the second CD that actually I had tried to install the day before but didn’t work for the serial number didn’t suit the CD.

I inserted the CD into the DVD drive, praying that it would work, the booting succeeded. And again, it required serial number. Fortunately, a friend had given me a list of serial numbers retrieved from the internet before. I tried a serial number, but it didn’t work. Then, I tried another serial number. Thanks God, it worked. It took about 20 minutes until the installation completed. Well done!! I succeeded installing the WINDOWS VISTA, not bad for a beginner for this was my first time doing the sort of thing, hehehehehe… My COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ40-532TU was working, I thought. Yes it did work, but I just realized that it actually needed some more final touch in order to get it work optimally.

I knew it when went to a friend’s house bringing my COMPAQ PRESARIOCQ40-532TU. He told me that the notebook/laptop still needed some Drivers, Program, to get all the features work. Well yes, after I compared mine with his, I realized that the display of my COMPAQ PRESARIOCQ40-532TU was still blurry; this was the most obvious one. I was lucky to have this friend, he helped me to download the drivers and even helped me to get all the things installed into my notebook. Thanks a lot, Mate.

Clubbing in Jakarta, Night Life in Jakarta

Jakarta, a city where I ever spent a year of my life. It was started from October 2008 until September 2009 when I experienced my first job after graduated from my University. I had heard quite much from the some sources about this city. Friends, mass media, TV they had told me some stories about it before. Well, indeed I didn’t believe all of the stories I heard.

It was close to my last days in Jakarta when I had to believe what I had not believe before. People said there’s a sort of nude show in some night clubs in Jakarta. What made me believe was when a friend invited me to go to one of those clubs. It was Saturday night.
We were in three, men. One married with two daughters but apart from his family and two others are me and my other single friend.

We arrived at the club at around 10 p.m. you know guys what are most people do in a night club. Drink, dance, ya…those sort of things. But honestly, I didn’t really do that. Yes, I did drink some beers but not some other mischievousness that might you’ve predicted before.

As we stepped our feet into the building, many pretty voiced girls(did they deserve to be called as girls??) greeted us pleasantly. They seemed to be so kind, and most of all tempting, hufff…. I felt not comfortable at all when I first entered the place because of the sound of the music, damn !!! it was so loud as if about to destroy my ears. Moreover, the building was full of smoke which I could not really stand even I myself is also a smoker. But not that much smoke I needed to inhale, hey ? finding a nice spot to sit, we ordered some beers. I tried to adapt myself and enjoy the music played while enjoying my cigarettes and some bottles of beers..hmmmm…the beers was quite relaxing. My friend said that the striptease would be started at 12 p.m. I was so curious and couldn’t wait to see that show.

Damn !! what took the time so long till 12 p.m ??

At last, when I saw the time from my mobile, it was about 12 p.m but I didn’t see any sign of the show as what my friend had told me. He then told me that it was delayed till 1 a.m. well, I had to wait again. I tried to be patient on it, I was also thinking that my friend pranked me, hehehehhe… but none can be done but waited and hoped that it would come true. At last, the party truly begun at 1 a.m. yay !! And yes, it’s true. There were some females dancing on the stage. They were wearing such sexy dressing. After around 20 minutes dancing, they started to put off their dressing ( the upper part ) that I could clearly see their breast. O my God !!! it was true. They were dancing wildly as if there were no one there. I was even thinking that they behaved like animal. But it wasn’t the end of the show.

The first section ended around 2 a.m. Those females weren’t fully naked. I was thinking to ask my colleagues to return home when they told me there the HOTTER show would be started at 3 a.m. I decided to wait and see that one as well. I was only thinking that I might not see it again later on since I planned to move from Jakarta afterwards. And it’s true, the dancers came out again. And yes, it was TOTALLY HOTTER than the previous show. They were totally naked!! I half believed and half not. They were dancing and doing some wilder things that I cannot explain. I don’t know what word appropriate to explain or represent it.

Hmmm…well yes, some stories about Jakarta are true then. Hoping that you guys can try it yourself when you have the chance. It worths somehow, just how we view it. Merely to know and experience it or you want to drown yourself in it, that is your choice 

Weekend, I usually stay home during the weekend. Not all the time at home indeed, but when I’m home, sometime I watch TV while having a relaxing time at home. Take Me Out Indonesia/ Take Him Out Indonesia, a TV show which currently becomes a phenomenon in Indonesia often accompany me. Actually, I’d prefer watch some other programs but what can be done when my parents enjoy them so much?

I mentioned that it has become a phenomenon; I mean that this program has attracted many viewers and got much attention from those who watch it. Quite high rating in some tabloids and mass media. Take Me Out program is about finding a partner, whether a man who want to find a partner in life or woman who want to find a husband. I can hardly understand whether it
is a manipulation or just a fake, but seems so real though a bit not appropriate with existing eastern culture of Indonesia, in where people, especially women, are reluctant to be the one who search for partner in exposed. Moreover in such mass media, where people from every corner of the city can view it. Or may be it’s just because I live in a small city in where people still have the kind of view in finding wife or husband, it has completely changed in the big cities, even in Indonesia perhaps.

In the program, there will be 30 men (for Take me out) or 30 women (for Take him out) who will be chosen by the woman or the man who want to find a partner in the program. Take for example, take me out, 30 women are standing on the stage, and then a man appears. After that, the women must decide whether to carry on (they have to keep their lamp on) or to give no chance for the man to know her deeper (she must turn the lamp off). Those who keep the lamps on will then be chosen by the man, after the man being chosen, now his chance to choose (only if there are/is women/woman who are/is willing to give him a chance). Seems so complicated, but not in reality. This will last until only one woman left. After that, they can continue to a further relationship (even marriage) if they want to.

Well, there’s nothing wrong with Take Me Out. Help some people in finding a partner in life is cool but from this program, I just view that there is a change in some used to be existing cultures. Like what I have mentioned before, finding partner in life used to be a private business (I guess) in Indonesia but now has become public consumption. Even more, it now becomes a business commodity. But nothing wrong with this, none statically stays the same in this world. Moreover, this may answer the modern people’s demands. What I mean with modern people are those who are too busy to find a partner in life because of their business in work. By joining the program, I believe that they can easily find a partner. But one thing to consider is that they will still need some more time to get closer with the one he/she finds in personal. And also, we can never know how we will meet or find our future partner. So if this program can help people meeting their partner, Take Me Out will be a valuable program which deserves rating.

Di Yogyakarta Mereka Disebut 'Ciblek'

CIBLEK. Itu sebutan untuk pelacur ABG di Yogyakarta. Singkatan dari cilikan betah melek.

Rinda, adalah salah satu ciblek yang hampir setiap hari mangkal di sebuah mal kawasan Malioboro. Ia putri seorang dosen sebuah perguruan tinggi terkenal di Yogyakarta.

Gadis manis satu ini minggat dari rumah orang tuanya karena merasa terlalu dikekang. "Di rumah terlalu banyak larangan. Tidak boleh ini, tidak boleh begitu. Rasanya seperti di penjara," katanya.

Karena itu ia memilih untuk tinggal di rumah kos. "Rasanya lebih bebas. Bisa melakukan apa saja. Pokoknya seenak sayalah," ujarnya sambil tertawa lepas.

Ia sangat menikmati kehidupannya sebagai ciblek "Naik mobil, tidur di hotel, makan di tempat yang mewah, dan sebagainya," katanya.

Kendati melek sampai larut malam, Rinda terbiasa bangun pagi-pagi untuk berangkat sekolah. Ia sangat pandai menyembunyikan 'profesinya'. Kalaupun kepergok teman sekolah atau tetangganya di mal tersebut, ia tidak terlalu khawatir. Karena di Yogyakarta terlalu banyak anak-anak remaja yang nongkrong di pusat-pusat keramaian seperti itu.

Lalu bagaimana cara Linda menggaet pria hidung belang? "Tidak terlalu susah. Saya tahu dari cara dia melirik. Lalu saya senyum sedikit, dia juga tersenyum. Biasanya kalau pria sudah tersenyum, langsung mendekatkan diri. Ya kemudian jalan," cerita Rinda.

Para ciblek di Yogyakarta memiliki beberapa tempat mangkal. Mereka bisa ditemukan di sebuah mal di kawasan Malioboro, di Jl Perwakilan atau di kawasan Senisono.

Para remaja yang biasa nongkrong di tempat tersebut, menurut Rinda, rata-rata ciblek. Antara pelajar dan mahasiswi, punya kelompok sendiri-sendiri, sehingga tidak saling mengusik.

Untuk mendekati mereka, sebenarnya tidak terlalu gampang, meski tidak sulit. Para ciblek ini biasanya lebih suka diajak berkenalan, makan-makan baru kemudian transaksi.

"Tapi kami bukan pelacur," katanya. Ia menyebut dirinya sebagai gadis remaja yang mencari kesenangan. "Kalau pelacur, kan mau dibawa ke mana saja dan oleh siapa saja yang penting diberi uang," ujarnya.

Tapi Rinda selalu memilih-milih teman kencannya. Dia lebih suka pria yang ganteng dan berpenampilan rapi. "Pria terlalu tua juga saya hindari. Kalau 40 tahun ke bawah okelah. Malu rasanya dengan bapak-bapak. Takut terbayang orang tua sendiri," katanya.

Khusus di kawasan mal, para ciblek bisa ditemukan di kedai makanan atau di dekat WC umum. Sedangkan di kedai kopi yang ada di kawasan itu ditemukan hombreng atau gay yang juga dari kalangan remaja.

Sedangkan di Senisono, kebanyakan adalah ciblek yang berbaur dengan anak-anak jalanan. Sementara di Alun-alun Utara lebih banyak kaum homo. Kawasan lainnya yang mulai marak dengan pelacuran anak-anak adalah Alun-alun Selatan.

Tri, 17 tahun, salah satu ciblek 'penghuni' Alun-alun Selatan. Pengalaman pertamanya melayani pria diperoleh tidak jauh dari tempat tinggalnya.

Ia tinggal di Yogya Selatan yang pernah menjadi lokalisasi. "Kakek saya memang punya kopel di SG. Ibu saya juga membantu," katanya. SG merupakan sebutan untuk Sanggrahan, kawasan resosialisasi para pelacur di Yogyakarta yang kini telah tergusur untuk pembangunan terminal bus.

Kendati masih sangat belia, Tri cukup pandai memainkan harga jika ada yang menawar. "Kalau mereka tanya ya saya jawab Rp 100.000 sekali main," katanya. Tapi tarif yang dipasang Tri bukanlah harga mati. Biasanya kalau sudah diajak makan atau nonton oleh calon teman kencannya, harga akan turun sampai Rp 25.000.

Soal harga, seorang pria yang sering menjadi perantara ABG di Alun-alun Selatan, mengatakan, harga bisa ditekan serendah mungkin. Bahkan bisa gratis.

Caranya? "Diakrabi dulu, ajak puter-puter, mabuk three in one baru jipan, paling mahal no ban go atau Rp 25.000, sudah bisa di-ebut" kata Zuma, pria muda yang sering menjembatani transaksi ABG itu.

Three in one adalah istilah untuk menyebut mabuk dengan pil, minuman keras, dan sekaligus ganja. Istilah ini sering pula diganti dengan tiga dimensi. Sedangkan ebut istilah untuk hubungan badan.

Setiap malamnya, Tri biasanya mengantongi Rp 15.000. Tapi kalau musim 'panen', penghasilannya bisa berlipat-lipat. Yang dimaksud musim 'panen', bila kegiatan besar di Yogyakarta, baik berskala nasional maupun internasional termasuk kegiatan olahraga, mereka akan mendapat banyak pesanan. "Kalau ada kegiatan seperti ini, kami bisa mendapat Rp 250.000 selama tiga hari," katanya.

Yang biasanya menggunakan 'jasa' mereka pada hari-hari biasa adalah para remaja yang rata-rata memiliki uang saku yang cukup.

Lain lagi cerita Tiyas, yang biasa mangkal di sebuah kafe di Jl Perwakilan jika yang mengajaknya itu orang yang tampak memiliki uang yang cukup banyak, mengggunakan mobil, dan bahkan melengkapi diri dengan handphone serta belum kenal, bisa mematok harga Rp 100.000 sekali main.

"Tapi kalau sudah kenal baik, harga bisa dikorting," katanya. Tapi Tiyas lebih suka berkencan dengan pria yang sudah dikenal alias telah berkali-kali berhubungan dengannya.

Menurut Tiyas yang masih sekolah di sebuah SLTA, berhubungan dengan pria yang belum dikenal terutama anak-anak sekolah atau mahasiswa, lebih banyak susah daripada enaknya.

Seperti yang pernah dialaminya, sejumlah pria remaja mengajaknya ke rumah kost, lalu diajak minum sampai mabuk. Setelah itu dikencani ramai-ramai.

"Sudah itu digabur atau dilepas begitu saja di suatu tempat yang cukup sepi," katanya.

Lokasi yang paling sering dijadikan tempat untuk nggabur adalah Ring Road Selatan, yang relatif sepi dan jauh dari pemukiman penduduk.

Setelah kejadian itu, Tiyas menceritakan kepada teman-temannya. Ternyata pengalaman serupa juga pernah dialami oleh temannya. "Jadi kalau pelajar atau mahasiswa yang datang, siap-siap saja untuk kecewa," katanya.

Bagaimana membedakan pelajar dan mahasiswa dengan pria yang sudah bekerja? "Kalau pelajar atau mahasiswa datangnya rombongan. Kalau yang sudah bekerja, biasanya sendirian," ujarnya.

Karena 'pintu' sudah tertutup untuk mahasiswa dan pelajar, menurut Tiyas, biasanya mereka mengencani pelacur liar yang biasa beroperasi di Alun-alun Utara.

'Ciblek Lanang' Melayani Wanita Kesepian

CIBLEK lanang. Sebutan untuk ABG pria yang menjual diri di Yogyakarta. Seperti juga gadis remaja, mereka juga anak sekolah dan punya tempat mangkal sendiri-sendiri.

Mereka bersedia melayani siapa saja, pria homo atau wanita kesepian. Ciblek lanang yang rata-rata pelajar SLTA dan mahasiswa, juga banyak mangkal di mal dan pusat-pusat keramaian lainnya.

"Banyak pelancong wanita yang kesepian. Ya, mereka mencari kami untuk menemaninya jalan-jalan dan tidur di hotel," kata Koko, ciblek yang sekolah di sebuah SMU di Yogyakarta itu menjelaskan. Pelancong wanita yang sering menggunakan 'jasa' mereka kebanyakan datang dari Jakarta.

Wanita 'pemburu' ciblek lanang rata-rata berusia muda. "Ada juga berumur 40 tahun. Dan sepertinya mereka sudah bersuami. Tapi soal itu kami tidak pernah tanyakan kepada mereka," kata Koko.

Selain melayani pelancong, Koko juga kerap menemani para mahasiswi di rumah-rumah kontrakan atau kamar kos. "Bila melayani mahasiswi, saya sering diminta memakai kondom," ujarnya.

"Tapi kalau dengan pelancong, jarang pakai kondom. Saya tidak tahu, mereka suka polos," ujarnya.

Tarifnya? Untuk mahasiswa rata-rata Rp 25.000 . Paling rendah Rp 15.000, "Tapi Rp 10.000 juga jadi kalau ceweknya cantik," kata Koko. Sedangkan untuk pelancong wanita, Koko memasang tarif Rp 50.000 sampai Rp 100.000.

Ciblek lanang tampil sebagai 'pemain AC DC'. Selain melayani wanita, juga melayani pria homo.

Bila 'menjaring' pria homo, mereka mencari mangsa di Alun-alun Utara dan di sebuah restoran di Jl Pasar Kembang. Mereka lebih luka dibawa pria bule.

"Orang bule itu tidak pelit,'' kata Koko. Ia menjelaskan, para bule kebanyakan 'mengencani' mereka relatif cukup lama. ''Kalau mereka di Indonesia seminggu, kami dipakai seminggu pula. Tidak jarang diajak ke mana-mana,'' ujarnya.

Koko, pria kelahiran Semarang itu, menjelaskan untuk aktivitas seksualnya dengan para homo selain sodomi juga oral seks. Bahkan tidak jarang '69'. Istilah ini untuk menyebut melakukan oral seks secara berbarengan.

Kendati lebih menyukai pria bule, mereka juga sering mendapat 'order' dari pria lokal. Dari para homo, biasanya mendapat uang saku antara Rp 50.000 - Rp 150.000 serta ditambah ajakan makan di restoran serta menikmati udara luar kota.

Para ciblek lanang ini pada dasarnya terbagi dua jenis. Koko menjelaskan, ada satu kelompok homo yang berperan dirinya sebagai wanita, namun ada yang berperan sebagai pria. Yang sebagai wanita, ujar Koko, tidak harus berdandan seperti wanita, tetapi kegenitannya memang seperti wanita, dan mencari pasangan yang gagah. Sedangkan yang berposisi sebagai pria tentu akan mencari yang genit-genit.

Kenapa Koko bisa menyukai pria sekaligus wanita? Sejak kecil dirinya memang sudah menyukai sesama jenis. ''Saat saya sekolah di Yogyakarta ini, rekan duduk sebangku saya kebetulan hombreng. Dia yang mengajak saya mengenal dunia yang lebih luas. Tapi sebagai laki-laki saya juga sangat tertarik kepada wanita,'' katanya.

Lain lagi cerita Dedy, pria yang sering mangkal di sebuah kafe di Jl Pasar Kembang. Putra seorang perwira menengah di Jakarta yang kini sedang menyelesaikan studinya di sebuah perguruan tinggi negeri di Yogyakarta mengaku melayani pria homo hanya kesenangan semata.

Dedy 'menjajakan' dijalani sejak berada di Yogyakarta. Meski demikian, Dedy mengaku kenal dengan kehidupan homoseksual sejak masih duduk di SLTP. Saat itu, katanya, ia sering diberi uang dan diajak ke tempat-tempat permainan anak-anak oleh tetangganya. ''Ini saat papah masih dinas di Surabaya,'' katanya. Oleh tetangganya inilah, Dedy mendapat kenikmatan homoseksual dan itu keterusan.

Lalu kenapa menjual diri? Dedy menjelaskan, semula memang tidak sengaja. Saat bersama-sama dengan rekan-rekan, ia sempat diajak 'main' oleh kenalan barunya. ''Bahkan saya jadi pacarnya selama beberapa bulan,'' katanya.

Setelah putus dengan 'pacarnya' itulah, Dedy merasa kecewa dan bersamaan pula dengan makin seretnya kiriman dari orangtua, terpaksa mencari tambahan biaya. "Biaya kuliah serta bahan-bahan praktek sekarang harganya sangat mahal," katanya.

Melayani pria homo, jelasnya memang bukan tujuan utama. Karenanya, katanya, tarif yang dipasang pun tidak selalu disodorkan. "Kalau saya mau melayani dan dia juga baik, kenapa harus pasang harga. Biasanya mereka tahu dan memberi tips setelah main," katanya.

Pendapatannya memang tidak tinggi, rata-rata per bulan sebesar Rp 750.000 sesudah dikurangi biaya obat-obatan yang diperlukan. Ia sendiri mengaku tidak terlalu suka dengan orang-orang bule. Alasannya? Para bule agak kasar.

Seperti halnya Koko, ciblek lanang lainnya, Andi yang mengaku berasal dari Cirebon melayani pria homo sudah sekitar tiga tahun. Katanya, melayani para bule lebih mengasyikkan. Apalagi, dua tahun lalu sempat diajak jalan-jalan ke Swiss oleh pasangan bulenya, sekadar untuk menikmati liburan.

Orang-orang bule, lanjutnya, biasanya mengajak main dengan sepenuh hati. Artinya, mereka menikmati dan menjalani kehidupan seksualnya 'sangat manusiawi'. "Pakai foreplay, cium-ciuman, sebelum main. Bahkan setelah main, mereka masih peduli. Beda dengan orang kita sendiri yang maunya langsung, habis itu pisah," katanya.

Bersama-sama orang bule ini, ucapnya, biasanya selama mereka berada di Yogya akan menjadi pasangan tetapnya. Bahkan tidak jarang harus menemani ke obyek-obyek wisata yang menarik.

"Memang tidak ada tarif yang ditawarkan, tetapi orang bule ini senang menghambur-hamburkan uang. Seminggu bersama mereka bisa meraih uang kontan US$100 atau bahkan lebih, belum termasuk hadiah khusus seperti pakaian, jam tangan dan sebagainya," katanya.

Berbeda lagi dengan Daniel. Pria keturunan kelahiran Medan ini dengan tegas mengungkapkan, jika mau meong harus bayar. Meong merupakan istilah di kalangan mereka untuk bermain seks. Baik itu anal maupun oral atau sekadar 'GGK' atau gesek-gesek kelamin.

Daniel yang masih duduk di sebuah SMU swasta di Kota Yogyakarta mengungkapkan, untuk sekali ajak yang biasanya dari malam sampai pagi, biasanya ia mendapatkan Rp 150.000.

To socialize or having some kind of relation with others is kind basic need for human. Friends, families, or perhaps colleagues in work can be those whom we need to be in touch. For this reason, some social networking sites become one of the mean for some people in order to be connected with their friends, families or colleagues. There are some which are, I believe, familiar with you people. For example, Friendster, FaceBook, MySpace and Twitter are now commonly used worldwide.

From all those mentioned sites, FaceBook is gradually developing quite fast. Its popularity is now replacing Friendster especially in Indonesia. Kids, teenagers and adults are the users of this site. Regardless, the basic reason of the invention, people are using it for its interesting and handy features. People can send message, share what they feel, what they do, give comments and even play

games through this site.

For some people, this also become their business mean. They can advertise their products here. On the hand,

those who are interested with the products can simply comments on the account’s owner or even directly make a contact should he provides contact detail in his profile.

Beside those side functions, most people use the site to keep connected with their colleagues. Through FaceBook, they can maintain a good communication flow even though they are separated in distance. For instance, when you are working somewhere far away fro your own town, by having FaceBook account, you can always be updated about how your friends who are in your friends list are doing. Simply login, and see what they are sharing on their wall (status). If you need more than just knowing it, you can see their photos to see how your colleagues look now for may be you have not met for a long time.

Though, there were controversy in the use of this site in Indonesia some times ago. One religion basic foundation claimed this site to be forbidden since some people used in in a bad manner. For instance, some users used it to find some other women/men for an affair. In addition, some also cruelly deceived others through it took advantage from them.

Well, yeah... I agree that some people might misused the site for some bad purposes. But don't we get much more advantage from it beside the lost?? In my opinion, whenever, wherever, and through whatsoever you can always do bad deeds when you have the willing to do so. It just depends on how you control and use what you have properly. :)

Once upon a time there were a village with many arrogant people lived in there. At one time they were about to hold a feast. All the people were busy preparing all the needed stuffs.
When they feast came, all people were so happy enjoying each time they have. People were dancing, singing, eating and drinking. In an unexpected time, a little boy came to join the feast. The boy were so dirty and having such a disgusting skin disease. All the people rejected him. They even mocked and forsook him. He begged them for food as he had not eaten for nearly 3 days. But the people did not care about it and kept kicking him in order to make him away from that place.
The boy went away sadly. In front of a small house, an old woman called him. The boy was shocked because he could still find a kind person in that village.The old woman gave him some food and provided some cleaner clothes for him. She was so kind to him.
After finishing his meal, the dirty little boy told the old woman to ride onto the"lesung", something used to grind rice grain.Then the little boy returned to the feast. There, he called all the people to surround him because he
wanted hold a game. He then put a small wood in to the ground. He asked if there's someone who could take the small wood out of the ground, he would give whatever he wanted.
Many people despised the boy. Not long after, people were trying to take the wood out of the ground but none of them were able to. The little boy then took it out of the ground. Surprisingly, water came out of the little hole made by the little wood. The water was getting greater and turned into flood. All the people drowned except the kind old woman. She was safe because she followed what the boy said. The boy turned into a big snake and dwelled in the water. That place then famous with what is so called as Rawa Pening.

Belajar dan Dipusingkan Hal Sepele

Namanya Liu Ximei. Pekerjaannya sehari-hari melakukan tugas rumah
tangga, sesekali bekerja di sawah atau di lahan pertanian di Desa
Xinhu, Guangdong, Cina. Wanita ini juga mencuci pakaiannya sendiri
dan aktif melakukan kegiatan harian. Yang membuat Liu Ximei istimewa
adalah ia melakukan semua aktivitasnya itu dalam usianya yang telah
mencapai 102 tahun! Apa resepnya? Sangat sederhana: tidak minum

Tidak sedikit masalah yang timbul karena kita terlalu dipusingkan

dan penilaian orang lain. Akibatnya fisik dan mental kita terganggu.
Kita pun jadi tidak percaya diri, stres, cepat marah, gampang
curiga, tidak bisa menikmati hari-hari kita, terus dilanda
kegelisahan dan kegalauan. Ujung-ujungnya aktivitas kita, relasi
kita dengan Tuhan dan sesama, bahkan juga kesehatan kita, jadi
terganggu pula.

My Trip to Bali

Yeaahh !!! at last I could satisfy my desire of adventure.

Mmm…but too late I reckon to have it posted now, for indeed I had the trip on last three weeks. Who cares, I simply want to share you about it anyway.

As stated above I had the trip on about last three weeks, right one day before the Idul Fitri came. I went to Bali by bus because I was not able to afford air plane ticket, hehehehe.. But actually, I’d rather take bus for whatsoever trip than air plane since I’m a bit worry of flying. Moreover, I can enjoy

the trip better on bus than on plane I reckon.

I left for Bali from the bus station on my home town, Salatiga. Departed at around 4pm, the traffic was quite busy at that time because of the people flow to their own home town to celebrate the Idul Fitri from their work cities. I was lucky as the person sat beside me was a girl, quite pretty, but unfortunately she wasn’t really pleasant, oooo…no…Well, at least I could still enjoy seeing her pretty face, heheeehe..

At around 9 pm, we stopped at a restaurant in Situbondo, East Java for dinner; this is what I like to have a trip on a bus. We’d have more than enough time to enjoy the trip itself than to rush in reaching the exact destination.

We arrived at the harbor, when the dawn came. We were waiting for the ferry to cross from Java to Bali when suddenly I felt the bus I was in shaking. I was thinking that it was because one of the crew fixing or filling the tank. I just realized that this was caused by the earthquake when one of the passengers got a call telling that earthquake had just happened in Bali. Epicenter (the center of the happening earthquake) was said to be in Nusa Dua, southern part of Bali. Right after that my brother assured me that nothing to worry since no serious impacts suffered, especially in my brothers’ place, Denpasar.

Not long after that, I continued my trip on a ferry. Felt so exciting to be on board. Enjoying the sea wind and

the sun rise behind my Ray Ban, hmmmmm…so relaxing. It took around one hour to get to Bali(Gilimanuk, name of the harbor in Bali)from Java(Ketapang, harbor in east Java to Bali).

Reaching Bali, I had to show my I.D card to be able to really get in to Bali. This was done in the purpose of avoiding terrorist to enter Bali (I think). It was sunny day when I had to catch up the bus again after stepping my feet in Bali to get to my actual destination, Denpasar, the capital of Bali where my brothers’ stay. I t still took 3.5 hours to get to Denpasar from Gilimanuk by bus. When I arrived at Ubung(bus station in Denpasar), my brother picked me up, hmmm…at last I met him and soon I’d meet my other brothers and sister together with my nieces and nephew, also my parents. Yay !! we were all in Bali !

But as usual, like my other previous vacation I had in Bali, I was too lazy to hang out around. I spent most of my time idling home. Forgot not to play with my nieces and nephews, I love it !!

The place I visited were Ulu Watu, Kuta (a most visited place in Bali), Sanur and some other interesting spots.

Time always runs fast when we enjoy every second of it. Yes, I stayed a week in Bali, but felt like just two days. I had to return home on Saturday 26, 2009 since I’d have to work on Monday 28, 2009. Again, I took bus home. Enjoyed the trip but not the seat on the bus as I got the seat at the back which I thought wasn’t comfortable to sit on. I arrived in Salatiga quite early, around 6.30am. Finally, I had to sleep on my bed to get the energy.

What a Bad Day

5.46 P.M, September 15, 2009 I left for home from my work place after having a short chit chat and smoked a cigarette after the busy working hours. Hmmm..that was quite relaxing. I didn’t think at all that in the next two hours I would be a moron donkey.

I rode my bike confidently, not really speeding indeed, but ya…you know we can’t ride it slowly in the highway.

Everything was running well, until I reached my own hometown Salatiga. It started to rain when I entered this small city. I was thinking to stop and find a dwell just

keep me from getting soaked in the rain. But I didn’t know, perhaps I was thinking about my home because there was no one home as my parents were on their holiday in Bali. I could’t really remember what was in my mind. But suddenly in one turning, once again, I wasn’t speeding, I skidded. I didn’t know whether there was oil on the road or what. Fortunately, I got no serious injury but just twisted my ankle (worsen the condition as actually I had suffered from it for quite some time). Well, I was confused of what happened at that time, I couldn’t figure out how this could happen. But I am grateful to those who helped me. One of them said that I
was the third one who fell down in that place. Ooooppss….!!

I took my bike again, and I found it was okay, I carried on riding it just to get home. On my way after that small incident, I was still thinking about what was happening. All of sudden, when I overtook another motor bike, I skidded again, DAMN!!!!

What’s wrong with me??? I was really a donkey!!!(I don’t want it) but what to call me if I experienced those two stupid accidents in just about an hour. I was not day dreaming, it was night, can I say night dreaming?? No way!! I was completely awake!!

Up to know, this morning, I’m still confused of what happened with me last night. Was that a warning? Perhaps. But warning about what? (stupid me asking to you all guys, whereas I myself can’t figure it out) I do believe in GOD but not such superstition.

But Anyway, I’m still thankful to GOD for still guiding and protecting me. I got no serious injury.

Another Money Spring

That night was so cold, the dogs roamed, the wind blew so strongly and the water was so cold (wasis, is that true? isn’t that too hyperbolic?) Hehehehe…the situation was not that dramatic in fact, but some condition was true, the cold, the night, the dogs’ bark (as I have a little dog at home, hehehe..)

Well, let’s go directly to the point. Still remember about the last post in my diary about the new prospect students I would have? Hey..hey..hey…this will be about that new student.

I was having a chit chat (an old school words, ha??) with my mother and watching TV when suddenly I heard a cracking noise from my bed room ( Wasis,
come on…do not be too much in dramatizing this post!). Ooops !! okay ! Not a real cracking noise indeed, but my mobile’s ring tone. I was too lazy to open it, but I did open the message and saw a new unnamed number as the sender. I thought that this message was just from another random person who often annoyed me during my sleep by making a call but closed it when I picked it up. What an annoying habit, right?

As I opened he message, I saw that it wasn’t from any random guy (or may be girl, I don’t really know) but from the new prospect student I told you in my previous post.

Ya..I will need to reduce some of my free time just to earn this amount of money but that’s not a problem, I guess. Yay !! money comes…hobbies done !! But I think I will have to erase one of my hobbies from my weekend activities list. Huffth..a bit disappointing, but I am still grateful. Thanks GOD.

Malang Jawa Timur

SISI namanya. Berusia 19 tahun. Anak seorang pengusaha terkenal di Malang dan pengurus salah satu cabang olahraga. Hampir setiap hari nama ayahnya muncul di surat kabar.

Gadis cantik, yang namanya minta dituliskan persis seperti yang tertera di KTP-nya, adalah salah satu ABG 'papan atas' di Malang. Bila 'turun' ke jalan, ia biasa disapa dengan nama Sisi.

Apa yang kau cari Sisi? "Biar ayah tahu kalau saya sekarang memilih profesi ini. Jual diri," katanya.

Secara sadar Sisi menyatakan harus melacur untuk membalas perlakuan
ayahnya yang amat jarang pulang ke rumah saking sibuknya. Namun dia tidak akan mengobral pengakuan kepada sembarang orang, alasannya

biar ayahnya tahu secara alamiah dari mulut ke mulut.

Karena itu pula, dia tidak canggung sedikit pun tatkala kepergok wartawan yang juga amat dikenalnya karena kerap datang ke rumahnya di kawasan elite di Malang. Setelah ibunya meninggal pada 1995 lalu, praktis di rumah sudah tidak ada figur panutan lagi. Jawaban Sisi terbilang klasik: korban broken home atau kekisruhan rumah tangga seperti halnya ratusan pelacur ABG lainnya. Sisi merasa tidak ada satu pun orang di rumahnya yang bisa dijadikan tempat berlindung. Ia malah merasa terlindung di dalam dekapan banyak pria yang menyukainya.

Kendati sebagai gadis muda belia yang cantik, Sisi lebih suka berdandan ala kadarnya. Akan tetapi wajah cantiknya tak bisa disembunyikan.

Sebagai pelacur ABG, Sisi semula tergolong laris, namun kemudian banyak ditinggalkan pelanggannya karena dinilai terlalu rewel.

Seorang pria yang cukup terpandang di Malang yang pernah beberapa kali membawa Sisi, mengatakan, "Dia selalu minta cepat pulang. Setelah di-booking pukul 12.00 WIB, pukul 17.00 sudah minta selesai dan cepat-cepat memanggil taksi untuk mengantarkan ke rumahnya."

Pria berusia 45 tahun itu sengaja memilih Sisi karena gadis tersebut datang dari keluarga terpandang, dan sudah menjadi pembicaraan kalangan atas di Malang.

"Saya sengaja memilih Sisi karena alasan prestise. Ternyata setelah saya rasakan, dia banyak permintaan. Soal duit sih, dia tidak banyak tanya," katanya. Disebutkan tarif rata-rata pelacur sekelas Sisi --sebelum dipotong honorarium GM-nya-- Rp 500.000 sekali pakai. Sisi mengaku masih kuliah, "Silakan cek kalau tak percaya," ujarnya sembari menunjukkan KTM (kartu tanda mahasiswa) sebuah perguruan tinggi kesohor di Malang. Teman-temannya di kampus sudah banyak yang mengetahui Sisi menjadi pelacur, "Mereka tidak terlalu peduli. Tidak sedikit teman saya yang seperti saya. Kami saling tahu kelakuan masing-masing," katanya.

Di Malang belakangan ini, memang banyak pelacur ABG yang datang dari kalangan 'atas'. Sedikitnya, saat ini ada 25 ABG dari kalangan etnis Cina. Seorang gadis bermata sipit menceritakan tentang teman-temannya yang terjun ke dunia 'hitam', yang semuanya berasal dari keluarga mampu. "Sebelum ini, ayah saya pengusaha cukup sukses. Entah kenapa tiba-tiba bangkrut," cerita Lani, ketika ditemui di Dieng Plaza. Ia anak seorang pengusaha di Kediri.

Lani mengaku, sejak bisnis ayahnya bangkrut itulah kiriman uang kuliah di PTN terkenal di Malang tersendat-sendat. Terpaksa, Lani harus melayani pria hidung belang. Rupanya, resesi ekonomi yang mendera Indonesia dua tahun terakhir ikut menggelontor kelompok etnis yang selama ini dikenal paling mapan ekonominya. Bagi Lani, profesi inilah yang mampu menyambung napas hidup kuliahnya. Lani mengaku sekali dipakai dia mendapat bagian Rp 250.000. "Yang Rp 50.000 untuk Mami," ungkapnya seraya menunjuk perempuan 40-an tahun yang duduk agak berjauhan.

Tapi tidak gampang menemui ABG di Kota Apel itu. Mereka bergerak secara rapi. Lokasi mangkal ABG --di Malang kerap disebut ayam abu-abu (bagi yang terlihat berseragam SMU) atau ayam kampus (khusus bagi pelacur ABG dari kalangan mahasiswi)-- bisa ditemui di Plaza Dieng, food court Plaza Sarinah, di samping diskotek My Place, Laguna, dan Djoko Tarub Discoteque di kawasan wisata Batu. "Ada pula yang terang-terangan membuka praktek. Mereka bisa ditemui setiap saat di Hotel Royal Inn," ujar seorang GM seraya menyebut beberapa nama hotel. Sisanya, di Hotel Garuda atau penginapan kelas bawah lain, merupakan pelacur profesional berusia 25 hingga 30 tahun. Berbeda dengan ABG di Surabaya yang berani menjajakan diri di tempat terbuka seperti di pinggir jalan --para 'pemakai' menyebutnya sebagai pelacur embongan (jalanan)-- di Malang hanya bisa dijumpai di tempat-tempat keramaian seperti pertokoan atau kawasan tempat nongkrong anak muda. Mereka juga bisa ditemui di karaoke, diskotek, atau kafe.

Mereka memanfaatkan radio panggil (pager) bahkan ponsel (handphone) untuk mempermudah transaksi. Mereka rata-rata bergabung dalam induk semang/mami atau germo (GM). Tempat yang paling terkenal adalah kawasan Tlogomas dan Jl Tirtonadi. Ada satu yang tidak beroperasi lagi yakni yang di Jl Bandung 14.

Di kawasan wisata Batu, mereka bisa ditemui di Jaka Tarub Discoteque di Hotel Purnama. Masyarakat setempat juga mengenali ABG muka lama atau pendatang baru.

Masih di Batu, ada satu lagi Diskotek Fantasia yang pada Jumat, Sabtu, dan Minggu dijejali ABG. Di sekitar dua diskotek tersebut terdapat ratusan vila yang bisa disewa per jam. Bahkan, harga sewa bisa terbilang sangat murah, kecuali Sabtu dan Minggu. Pada hari biasa harga sewa dalam kisaran Rp 25.000 hingga Rp 100.000 per paro hari. Tidak usah ragu-ragu, karena para penjaga vila senantiasa bersikap proaktif. Mereka juga tak jarang berperan ganda sebagai broker (pialang) atau perantara atas permintaan para ABG. "Kalau akhir pekan mahal. Sebab kita sampai menolak permintaan," kata seorang penjaja vila di kawasan Songgoriti Batu. Maklum, mereka kebanjiran 'wisatawan' dari Surabaya dan Jakarta. Dari mana mereka berasal? Pengakuannya bisa macam-macam. Kebanyakan mengaku dari Blitar, Kediri, Surabaya, atau daerah lain di Jatim. Tidak sedikit pula yang berasal dari Kalimantan, Sulawesi, dan belahan Indonesia timur lainnya. Tapi jumlahnya tidak bisa mengalahkan yang berasal dari Malang sendiri.

New Student, Will You Come To Me

Saturday night and here I am, again in this shelter in this "warnet"(internet cafe). Huff...ya..ya..have nothing to do, I would rather post this piece of writing here.

Well, I wanna share another thing about something I actually really like.

The other day, a friend of mine texted(read:send me an SMS) me. A friend from my workplace indeed. He told me that there are new prospect of English learners. He offered me about it and asked whether I could give the private lesson. I said"Yes".

This morning i met with these new prospect students. We discussed the day,
meeting, how much they have to pay me later on(this is the most important thing, hihihihih...). Well, no decision made yet. I understand that they need to discuss it, perhaps I made too much tariff for these two new students, I don't know. Actually, I care only on how I can still use my English outside my work place area(don't trust it 100% as I am also need the money). Ya, I can also learn while i am teaching, right?

To be honest, I really don't want to lose my English just because I never use it.

Anyway, hopefully these two new prospect students click with my teaching style if they happen take my class later.

Hmmmm..waiting for their text to come...saying"Mas, kami jadi les. Mulai hari minggu nanti y"("Can we start the lesson this weekend?"

To Worry Is So Human

When I was a little kid, I used to be worry whenever I was alone. Being left alone by my parents and siblings was a worrying thing. As I grew up, it didn't stay the same.

The older and maturer I grew the more complex things comes to be worrying.

Now, I sometime worry about my future. Yes, I realize that none knows what God has instore(as if I am a religious person, not that much indeed). But I do believe, God never sleeps(He must have drunk too much coffee, hehehehe..). I reckon that it's always natural to worry as we are human. It is a basic characteristic I guess. Let me ask you a question, Is there any of you who have
never worry??? I can guarantee that none of you will answer"Me!!". Basically, we worry because we are thinking. We use our brain, therefore we feel worry.

But the point I wanna share is not the feeling of worry itself, but how we can overcome and make it as a motivation to do better in our life.There's no point to only worry about the future without doing something to, at least, reduce this feeling of worry.Do best in the present time will help to erase this feeling little by little.

We worry about the future, so just do what can be done now while trying to avoid the bad things might

happen in our future life. We'll never know what we will be, but at least we'll not regret in the future since we do not waste our present for the sort of useless things, just enjoy your today but never forget to plan the tomorrow. You can only regret and recall the yesterday, but you can always plan the tomorrow. So, don't worry to worry for we are all HUMAN.
